Ameline Tangen Sørgen (she/they) is born on the 8th August 1998. They are from Gjøvik in Norway, and now share their time between Oslo and London. They are a freelance actor, director, playwright, producer and educator, who is currently open for work (also internationally). Additionally, they are employed at UngOrg as an informations consultant for youths, focused on culture and curricular activities, alongside being a project lead and content creator. For the coming year, they are particularly interested in more acting opportunities. Most of her experience lies in musical theatre, improv, devising and new-writing, and their art is often absurd, queer, explorative and mental health-related. They love pushing the limits of what people believe art and health to be, and are at fault an extremely curious person, particularly regarding people and our ways. She is as an enthusiastic, people-oriented and hard-working person, who's often describe by others as as structured, adaptive, empathethic, and a natural leader who's always up for a good challenge!
They hold a Certificate in Performing Arts Medicine from PAMA Online (2025), an MSc in Creative Arts and Mental Health from Queen Mary University of London (2022-2023), a trade-certificate in Musical Theatre, that specialised in Acting, from Bårdar Akademiet (2020-2022), and a BSc in Psychology from Inland University (2017-2020). They have previously completed the IB program in their 6th form.
Through years of service jobs and multiple psychosocial and political volunteer positions, they now balance their time, interest and competence between working within the arts and healthcare. In 2021, they became self-employed as they founded AMÉSO. They are a proud member of the theatre companies HellSprell and RASA, and hope to continue building connections and creating interesting, impactful and challenging theatre!
